Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin - Dell Medical School is seeking a Cardiovascular ICU Nocturnal PRN Advanced Practice Provider to join a multidisciplinary cardiovascular health team in Austin, TX.

The APP will diagnose and treat adult cardiovascular and thoracic conditions with prescriptive authority, performing histories, exams, and coordination of care across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited training program and board certified by the respective accreditation body.
• Physician Assistant with board certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed through the Texas Medical Board.
• Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Authority and board certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) or ANCC and licensed through the Texas Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history and performs assessment; orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies; conducts health assessments and screenings.
• Provides direct treatment and management of conditions via prescriptive authority or referral to other providers.
• Documents healthcare delivery per specialty standards and network policy.
• Participates in orientation and education of staff and students.
• Other related functions as assigned.
