Job summary

Shriners Children’s Boston is seeking an experienced nurse practitioner to provide outpatient coverage in the Burn Program. This PRN role supports a multidisciplinary pediatric team, managing 15-20 patients per day with independent practice following orientation.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, coordinate care with surgeons and care teams, and participate in quality improvement initiatives while maintaining licensure and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years advanced practice nursing experience in pediatric settings.
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in pediatric assessment and care management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with families and teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and physical exams for pediatric patients.
• Develop care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians and care team.
• Manage care across orthopedic, spinal, craniofacial, burn, and neuromuscular populations.
• Order/interpret diagnostic tests within licensure and protocol.
• Prescribe medications and participate in multidisciplinary clinics and care conferences.
