This role serves as a key member of a specialized multidisciplinary team caring for pediatric patients with acute burn injuries, scar management needs, and complex tissue reconstruction concerns. The Nurse Practitioner will manage an independent patient schedule and provide comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and follow-up care for approximately 15-20 patients per day.

The PRN Nurse Practitioner will support a variety of outpatient clinical services, including acute burn management for patients with burns generally involving 10% total body surface area or less, scar and tissue management clinics, and completion of pre-operative histories and physicals.

Responsibilities include performing burn assessments, developing treatment plans, overseeing wound care and dressing changes, providing long-term scar management and follow-up care, and performing wound debridement in collaboration with nursing staff. The practitioner will work autonomously following completion of orientation while having the support of experienced advanced practice providers and the broader Burn team.

The ideal candidate is an experienced pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a minimum of two years of advanced practice experience and demonstrated ability to practice independently.
