Shriners Children’s Boston is seeking a PRN Nurse Practitioner to support our Burn Program’s outpatient services for pediatric patients with burn injuries, scar management, and tissue reconstruction needs.

The role involves managing a daily patient load of 15–20, performing comprehensive assessments, and developing treatment plans. After orientation, you will work autonomously with a collaborative burn care team.

Qualifikationen

• MSN or DNP from an accredited NP program.
• Minimum 2 years advanced practice nursing experience.
• Board certification in applicable specialty area (e.g., CNP/AC, CPNP-PC, FNP).
• Current RN and APRN license in state of practice.
• DEA eligibility.
• BLS for HCP.
• PALS may be required based on assignment.
• Credentialing and privileging by medical staff.

Aufgaben

• Perform burn assessments, develop treatment plans, oversee wound care and dressing changes, and provide long‑term scar management and follow‑up care.
• Support outpatient services including acute burn management and pre‑op histories and physicals.
• Work autonomously after orientation with support from Burn team.
• Provide evaluations and follow‑up for 15–20 patients per day.
• Maintain coverage Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. with minimum one shift per month.
• Document findings and participate in quality improvement and research initiatives.
