Shriners Children’s St. Louis is recruiting three full-time, fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologists to join its perioperative team.

Responsibilities include general and regional anesthesia, pediatric airway management, and collaborative care with surgeons and nurses. Approximately 90% of clinical time in the OR with some preoperative assessments and PACU coverage; practice serves mid- and lower-acuity pediatric patients.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency
• Completion of a pediatric anesthesiology fellowship
• Board certification or eligibility in anesthesiology with pediatric subspecialty eligibility
• Eligibility for Missouri medical licensure and DEA registration
• BLS and PALS certification
• Credentialing and privileges eligibility
• Expertise in pediatric physiology, pharmacology, anesthetic techniques

Responsabilités

• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop individualized pediatric anesthetic plans
• Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care in surgical and nonsurgical settings
• Monitor vital signs, anesthetic depth, and physiologic parameters throughout care
• Utilize pediatric airway strategies and advanced airway management
• Recognize and respond to intraoperative complications and emergencies
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and allied health staff
• Provide postoperative pain management and regional anesthesia
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and protocol development
• Contribute to medical education or scholarly activities as appropriate
• Meet productivity and institutional performance standards
