Job summary

Shriners Children’s St. Louis seeks three full-time Pediatric Anesthesiologists to join our perioperative team, providing anesthesia for a broad range of pediatric procedures. Fellowship-trained in pediatric anesthesia, you will support mid-acuity and complex cases in a dedicated MD-only model.

Expect to run two ORs daily with 90% time in the OR, participate in home call on a 1-in-4 schedule, and collaborate with surgeons, pediatricians, nurses, and APPs in a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• MD or DO trained in Anesthesiology from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of ACGME-accredited residency in Anesthesiology.
• Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology completed or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop pediatric anesthesia plans.
• Administer general, regional, or monitored anesthesia care to children.
• Monitor vital signs and anesthetic depth throughout perioperative care.
• Manage pediatric airway techniques and ventilation strategies.
