Job summary

Shriners Children's St. Louis is actively recruiting three full-time Pediatric Anesthesiologists to join its perioperative team.

The role focuses on pediatric anesthesia with an all-physician model and a collaborative multidisciplinary environment. Approximately 90% of clinical time is in the operating room, with some preoperative assessments and occasional PACU coverage, and a rotating 1-in-4 home-call schedule.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with completed ACGME anesthesiology residency.
• Pediatric anesthesia fellowship completed.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in anesthesiology with pediatric subspecialty certification or eligibility.
• Missouri medical licensure, DEA, credentialing, and privileges required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia for general orthopedics, spine, upper and lower extremities, sports medicine, and select plastics.
• General, regional anesthesia, MAC, ultrasound-guided blocks, postoperative pain management.
• Preoperative assessments and occasional PACU coverage.
• Quality improvement, safety initiatives, protocol development, and peer review in collaboration with pediatric teams.
