Children’s National Hospital is seeking an Anesthesia Technician II to support pediatric surgical procedures. You will set up and maintain anesthesia equipment, stock supplies, and assist anesthesiologists and technicians across operative locations, ensuring safety and efficiency in care delivery.

The role requires a High School Diploma/GED, completion of an approved anesthesia tech curriculum, 3 years of experience, and BLS; ASATT is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED (Required).
• Completion of an approved Anesthesia technician curriculum or CNH Anesthesia Technician curriculum (Preferred).
• Minimum Experience: 3 years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician (Required).
• 1 year pediatric, trauma, and cardiac experience (Preferred).
• Certification/License Requirements: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) (Required); ASATT (Preferred).
• Required Skills/Knowledge: Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to speak/read/write the workplace language; collaborate with anesthesia team; set up anesthesia equipment; aseptic technique.

Responsabilités

• Assist the anesthesia provider in the delivery of patient care for pediatric surgical patients.
• Set up, operate, and maintain monitoring and anesthesia equipment for complex cases.
• Stock anesthesia supplies and maintain supplies in anesthesia work areas and carts.
• Support and develop peers and ensure equipment function and safety.
• Transport patients to the OR and assist with in-situ care as needed.
