Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking an Anesthesia Technician-2 to support operating rooms and other anesthesia areas by coordinating supplies and maintaining anesthesia equipment. The role requires teamwork in a fast-paced pediatric environment in Streeterville, Chicago.

Required: High School Diploma/GED; BLS; ASATT preferred; prior OR or healthcare experience. You will assist with patient prep, equipment movement, and emergency readiness while upholding sterile

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required with Associates preferred.
• BLS certification required; ASATT certification preferred.
• Previous OR or healthcare experience is preferred.
• Ability to read/write English and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Consult OR schedule to determine supply and equipment needs.
• Prepares and provides support for anesthesia equipment and supplies in all anesthetic areas.
• Maintains anesthesia machines, monitors, infusion pumps and related equipment.
• Assists anesthesia attending with preparing patients for procedures.
• Assists with movement of equipment to ensure room turnover and readiness.
• Maintains availability to assist in routine and emergency procedures.
• Troubleshoots equipment and collaborates with Biomedical Engineering.
• Adheres to sterile technique and disinfection/sterilization protocols as required.
