Job summary

Shriners Children’s in Charleston, SC seeks a Practice Supervisor to lead ambulatory clinic staff, promote safe, high‑quality patient care, and ensure efficient operations.

You will oversee scheduling, staff development, EMR super‑user tasks, and collaborate with physicians and interprofessional colleagues to support family‑centered care. A high school diploma and BLS are required; 1 year of supervision is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years ambulatory/physician practice experience.
• Familiarity with outpatient clinic operations, scheduling platforms, and insurance systems.
• Understanding of patient privacy laws and HIPAA guidelines.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises orientation and ongoing staff education for practice staff.
• Coaches and evaluates staff performance and provides feedback.
• Leads meetings, huddles, and trainings to support team-based care.
• Oversees staff scheduling and clinic operations with the Practice Manager.
• Ensures patient flow, rooming, discharge, and interdisciplinary communication.
• Participates in department performance improvement and policy development.
