Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California is seeking a dedicated teacher to implement rigorous curriculum with a focus on Social Emotional Learning and Restorative Practices. You will collaborate with the Leadership Team and Instructional Coach to support a diverse student body across East Palo Alto, Oakland, San Francisco, San Lorenzo, San Jose, Redwood City, and Stockton.

Qualifications include a BA/BS and eligibility for teaching credentials or provisional permits.

Qualifications

• Hold a B.A/B.S degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Meet one of the following eligibility requirements: Hold a valid teaching credential in the desired subject or Eligibility for a Provisional Internship Permit, or Eligibility for a Short Term Staff Permit.
• Demonstrated commitment to KIPP's mission and anti-racist education.

Responsibilities

• Daily lesson planning and long-term planning aligned with KIPP’s academic vision and goals.
• Analyze data to inform instructional practices and student progress.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, rigorous classroom environment incorporating Restorative Practices and Social Emotional Learning.
• Implement culturally responsive classroom management to ensure a safe learning environment for all students.
• Communicate regularly with staff, students, families, and other stakeholders to build strong partnerships.
• Participate in weekly Professional Development and Communities of Practice to grow as an educator.
• Update student records including attendance, grades, and behavior data.
