Job summary

KIPP Public Schools Northern California is seeking a dedicated Special Education teacher to implement IEPs, collaborate with staff, and deliver inclusive instruction across diverse classrooms. You will use Restorative Practices and SEL strategies to foster a warm, rigorous learning environment and partner with families to support student goals.

Qualifications

  • Hold a B.A/B.S from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Eligible for a teaching credential or provisional permit.
  • CPR certification is a prerequisite for this permit.
  • Commitment to anti-racist education and KIPP mission.
  • Ability to analyze data and plan instruction with SEL focus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage IEP development and implementation per law.
  • Collaborate to set measurable annual goals for students.
  • Provide specialized instruction and services via varied models.
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and inform practice.
  • Prepare daily/long-term lessons aligned to IEPs and mission.
  • Differentiate instruction with general education colleagues.
  • Train staff to support instruction delivery.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment with Restorative Practices.
