Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks licensed Professional Engineers to fill a seller-doer role in Savannah, GA. You’ll pitch testing programs to owners and design firms while reviewing data, sealing reports, and leading projects.

You’ll build and manage a book of clients—general contractors, developers, and architects—set pricing, write proposals, and travel as needed. Base salary is $115k–$150k with revenue share based on performance.

Qualifications

• Active PE license in civil, geotechnical, or structural engineering or ability to obtain by comity within 90 days.
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibility.
• Record of bringing in work or credible plan to do so in this market.
• Comfort with pricing, negotiating, and saying no to a bad contract.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of clients—general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms—for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record on projects you win: review field and laboratory data, seal reports and letters, and resolve issues.
• Direct technicians and inspectors on your projects and coordinate with the laboratory on testing schedules.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events in your market.
