Qualifications

• PE license in the applicable state or ability to obtain by comity within 90 days.
• 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibility.
• Proven record or credible plan for bringing in work and pricing/negotiating contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a book of clients: general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms for materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record: review field and laboratory data, seal reports and letters, coordinate with the lab and field staff.
• Direct technicians and inspectors on projects and coordinate testing schedules.
• Represent the company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events in your market.
