Job summary

Animal Outpatient Specialty Network is seeking a Controller in Newport Beach, CA to own the accounting close, financial reporting, cash management, and internal controls for a multi-site clinical operation. You will lead a team including an Assistant Controller and an AP Manager, and coordinate with external auditors and lenders on financial reporting and integration of acquired clinics.

The role requires a CPA and a Bachelor's in accounting or finance, with prior PE-backed portfolio experience

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
CPA certification required.
Experience in a private equity-backed portfolio company is required.
Experience in a multi-location clinical operating environment (veterinary, medical, or healthcare services) preferred.

Responsibilities

Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for a multi-location structure with consolidated financials.
Lead technical accounting, GAAP compliance, and financial reporting for sponsor and lenders.
Manage the annual Big 4 audit end-to-end, including PBC schedules and auditor relations.
Design, implement, and monitor internal controls across a growing, decentralized clinic network.
