Job summary

SPARC Behavioral Health is seeking an experienced Controller to lead full back-office accounting operations and drive process improvements within a growing multi-entity healthcare organization.

You will own the monthly close, treasury, payroll, and internal controls while mentoring staff and acting as NetSuite subject-matter expert. This private-equity backed environment emphasizes rigorous reporting and tight internal controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership of accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Lead treasury and cash management, including cash positioning and bank relationships.
• Own payroll end to end, including processing, compliance, and recordkeeping.
• Mentor a Senior Accountant and a Payroll Specialist, providing review and development support.
• Serve as NetSuite subject matter expert, maintaining data integrity and troubleshooting issues.
• Support NetSuite stabilization, including entity structure cleanup and intercompany eliminations.
• Lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors.
• Identify and implement process improvements to shorten close and improve reporting.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls across accounting functions.
• Support intercompany accounting and reconciliations across entities.
• Assist with tax compliance and multi-state filings.
• Partner with CFO on ad hoc analyses, reporting, and special projects.
• Document accounting policies and standardization of procedures.
