Proven Recruiting represents an Austin-based client seeking an Accounting Manager with a hands-on, PE‑backed background and strong technical accounting skills. The role is remote-first with close ties to Austin, and you will lead monthly closes, revenue recognition under ASC 606, and post‑acquisition integration work.

You will collaborate with FP&A, Legal, and Ops to ensure audit readiness and scalable processes, reporting to the VP of Accounting, and shaping a best‑in‑class accounting function

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA preferred but not required).
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a PE-backed environment.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, ASC 606, and SaaS revenue models.
• Hands-on M&A accounting experience, including post-acquisition integration.

• Manage SaaS revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Support M&A activities: purchase price accounting and post-acquisition integrations.

Our client is looking for a hands-on Accounting Manager with a strong operational mindset and technical accounting skillset. Someone with prior experience in a PE-backed environment and strong M&A exposure will excel in this position. This is a great opportunity to join an Austin company in a fully remote environment.

What does this position pay?:

Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location.

The expected range for this role is $125,000 to $140,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
