Job summary

LHH is seeking a Senior Accountant in Austin, TX, offering a hybrid schedule with 2–3 days in the office. You will own investment and corporate accounting tasks, including NAV calculations, fair value accounting, and monthly close processes.

The ideal candidate has 2–4+ years of accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and exposure to investment accounting or real estate. CPA or CPA-path is preferred, with Big 4 experience valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4+ years of accounting experience.
• At least two busy seasons of audit experience within a top tier accounting firm.
• CPA or CPA-path candidates preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with financial reporting and month-end close.
• Investment accounting, real estate, private equity, asset management, or financial services experience is highly desirable.
• Big 4 public accounting experience is preferred.
• Exposure to fair value accounting, NAV calculations, or investment reporting is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with accounting systems and technology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and reporting.
• Support quarterly investor reporting and related deliverables.

• Prepare and analyze cash flow reporting and related accounting activity.
• Perform account reconciliations and research variances.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules.

• Work with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial information.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting.
• Participate in automation and process-improvement initiatives.
• Take ownership of assigned accounting areas and serve as a resource to the broader team.

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a collaborative accounting team and take ownership of a variety of investment and corporate accounting responsibilities. Compensation & Work Arrangement

• Approximately $90,000–$95,000 base salary
• Discretionary target annual bonus
• Hybrid schedule: 2–3 days per week in the Austin office
