First Choice Nurses in Virginia is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads. Earn $56.25-$57.25 per hour with the freedom to pick shifts that fit your life.

Choose 7a-7p or 7p-7a schedules, enjoy daily or weekly pay, and work in acute-care hospital settings while maintaining high patient care standards.

Requirements include Virginia RN license, 2 years PCU in past 4 years, BLS, ACLS, TB test within 12 months, and vaccination or exemption.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
