Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts across the Hampton Roads, Virginia region. Competitive hourly pay ($56.25–$57.25) and the freedom to choose shifts fit your life. Shifts available 7a–7p and 7p–7a with daily/weekly pay options.

Active Virginia RN license and 2+ years in PCU nursing are required, along with BLS, ACLS, and vaccines or exemptions. Join FCN to build your schedule on your terms.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
