Job summary

First Choice Nurses in Virginia is hiring PCU Telemetry RNs on a per diem basis to cover hospital shifts in Hampton Roads. Shifts run 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with pay $56.25-$57.25 per hour and flexible scheduling.

You will monitor cardiac rhythms, assess patients, administer meds, and document in the EMR. Requirements include Virginia RN license, 2 years PCU experience in last 4 years, BLS & ACLS, TB test within 12 months, and vaccination or approved exemption. Join a locally owned staffing team.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS.
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required by facility.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Adhere to infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.
