First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts available include 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with pay range $56.25-$57.25 per hour.

Choose your own schedule, pick up as few as one shift a month, and receive flexible payment options including daily and weekly pay. This role offers hospital-based opportunities and a locally owned staffing team.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality patient care in acute-care hospital settings.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
