First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts run 7a–7p and 7p–7a, with you selecting the work that fits your life.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Active Virginia RN License.
• Current AHA BLS.
• Current AHA ACLS.
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
