Job summary

First Choice Nurses is recruiting PCU Telemetry RNs for per diem hospital shifts in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. The role offers shifts from 7a-7p and 7p-7a with a pay rate of $56.25–$57.25 per hour and the option to pick up shifts that fit your life.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License.
• 2 years PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• Recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test (past 12 months).
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting to different hospital units and environments.
