Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center is seeking an RN for Progressive Care/PCU/Step Down on a full-time day shift. The role involves bridging ICU and medical-surgical care, with a 24-bed unit supported by care techs and charge nurses.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, care planning, implementing the plan, and coordinating with the team. Competitive benefits and a $5,000 sign-on bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program (RN)
• Current Georgia RN license (or NLC/eNLC)
• BLS certification required
• New graduates eligible
• For PRN: one year of hospital nursing experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred; advanced certification encouraged

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Coordinate care with assigned staff and physicians
• Document patient care accurately in chart
• Communicate concerns to Charge Nurse/Clinical Manager
• Oversee activities of support staff and teach patients/families
• Maintain standards of practice and professional accountability
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care coordination
• Support autonomy, teamwork, and evidence-based practice
