Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center is seeking a compassionate RN for Progressive Care/PCU/Step Down. This part-time night position involves 2 x 12-hour shifts per week with some weekends. A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 is available.

The PCU serves as a bridge between ICU and medical-surgical units, with 24 beds and a supportive, high-tech environment. The RN will perform assessments, plan and implement care, and coordinate with the care team to ensure safe, evidence-based nursing.

Qualifications

• RN nursing program graduate (Georgia license preferred)
• BLS certification required
• Ability to coordinate care and communicate effectively with the team

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings
• Plan and implement care, adjusting for patient needs
• Coordinate with care team to ensure safe, quality care
• Supervise ancillary and support staff when needed
• Identify teaching opportunities for patients and families
• Escalate issues to Charge Nurse/Clinical Manager as appropriate
• Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of documentation
• Contribute to continuous improvement and evidence-based practice
