Job summary
First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. You’ll have the freedom to pick shifts that fit your life with options for day or night coverage.
Earn competitive per diem pay, with daily or weekly pay options, and no minimum weekly commitment. Requirements include a Virginia RN license, 2 years of PCU experience in the last 4 years, BLS, ACLS, Quantiferon-TB Gold test, and vaccination or approved
Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN license is required.
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
- Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications.
- QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions in acute-care settings.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and patient status changes.
- Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered.
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain timely electronic medical records and adhere to safety standards.
- Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions.
