Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking an experienced PCU Registered Nurse for per diem hospital opportunities throughout the Hampton Roads area. You control your schedule, with day or night shifts available and the option to pick up as little or as much work as you want.

Competitive per diem pay ranges from $56.25 to $58.00 per hour, with daily or weekly pay options and easy mobile scheduling. Required: Virginia RN license, 2 years PCU experience in the past 4 years, BLS, ACLS, TB test

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license is required.
• BLS certification (AHA) is required.
• ACLS certification (AHA) is required.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and equipment for PCU patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital infection-control and patient-safety guidelines.
• Provide patient and family education.
