Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia.

Take control of your schedule: 7a-7p and 7p-7a shifts, daily or weekly pay options, and the freedom to pick the shifts that fit your life.

Requirements include an active Virginia RN license, 2 years PCU nursing in the last 4 years, current BLS and ACLS, and vaccination or approved exemption. Per diem pay is competitive.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license active and in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS.
• Current AHA ACLS.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care within acute-care hospital environments.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and patient status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Follow facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapt professionally to different hospital units and environments.
