First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia. Take control of your schedule and choose shifts that fit your life.
Competitive per diem pay, choose your own schedule, and daily/weekly pay options. Requires an active Virginia RN license, 2 years PCU experience, BLS, ACLS, QuantiFERON-TB Gold test in the past year, and COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN license.
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
- Current AHA BLS.
- Current AHA ACLS.
- Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
- Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
- Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
- Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
- Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
- Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
- Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
