First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. You can choose shifts that fit your life, with options like 7a-7p and 7p-7a and daily/weekly pay features.

Requirements include an active Virginia RN license, 2 years PCU experience in the last 4 years, BLS/ACLS, and immunization/testing compliance. Per diem pay ranges around competitive rates, with the freedom to pick up only the shifts you want.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License required.
• 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required by facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting to different hospital units and environments.
