Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Virginia. You can pick up shifts that fit your life, with options like 7a-7p or 7p-7a and daily/weekly pay choices.

Active Virginia RN license and 2 years of PCU experience are required, plus BLS/ACLS, QuantiFERON-TB Gold, and COVID-19 vaccination or exemption. Per diem pay is competitive and scheduling is flexible.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license is required.
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• AHA BLS and ACLS current.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
