Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in Virginia. You’ll pick up shifts that fit your schedule, with options for daily and weekly pay and the ability to work as little as one shift per month.

Ideal candidates hold an active Virginia RN license, have 2+ years of recent PCU experience, and maintain current BLS/ACLS. QuantiFERON-TB testing and vaccination or exemption are required.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• QuantiFERON-TB test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions in PCU.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and status changes.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.
