First Choice Nurses is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Virginia. You can pick up shifts that fit your life, with options from 7a-7p and 7p-7a, and you’ll be paid per diem with the freedom to choose your schedule.

Active Virginia RN license and 2 years PCU experience are required, along with BLS, ACLS, and necessary health certifications. Competitive pay and fast, flexible scheduling enable you to work on your terms.

Qualifications

• Current Virginia RN license is required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
