Job summary
First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts. You pick shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a) and can work as little as one shift per month with daily or weekly pay options.
Active Virginia RN license and 2 years PCU experience are required, with BLS/ACLS, TB test, and vaccination exemption options. Per diem hospital placements available in Virginia and nearby areas.
Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN license required.
- 2 years recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
- AHA BLS Current
- AHA ACLS Current
- QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
Responsibilities
- Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
- Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
- Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
- Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
- Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
- Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
- Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
