Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU registered nurses for per diem hospital shifts in Virginia. Shifts are 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with the option to pick up as little as one shift per month and daily/weekly pay options.

Hope to provide competitive per diem pay and easy scheduling through a locallly owned staffing team. Active Virginia RN license and 2 years PCU experience required, plus BLS/ACLS, TB test within 12 months, and COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license required.
• 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience in the past 4 years.
• AHA BLS current.
• AHA ACLS current.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.
