Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Virginia. You can pick shifts that fit your life, with 7a-7p and 7p-7a options and the ability to work as little as one shift per month.

Active Virginia RN license, 2 years PCU experience, BLS and ACLS, TB test within 12 months, and COVID-19 vaccination or exemption are required. Competitive per diem pay and daily/weekly payment options available.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS certification.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.

Skills

Virginia RN License

PCU nursing experience (2+ years in 4y

AHA BLS

AHA ACLS

QuantiFERON-TB Gold test (past 12 mo)
