Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts run 7a-7p and 7p-7a, with the freedom to pick the days that fit your life.

Active Virginia RN license and 2 years PCU experience required, with current BLS/ACLS. QuantiFERON-TB Gold and COVID-19 vaccination (or exemptions) may be needed. You’ll provide high-quality care and collaborate with hospital teams, getting paid weekly or daily.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license or equivalent required.
• 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• AHA BLS, ACLS current.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test updated within 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
• Additional facility credentials may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and patient status changes.
• Administer meds, IV therapies, and treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow infection-control and safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge.
• Adapt to different hospital units as needed.
