Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts run 7a-7p and 7p-7a with the option to choose your own schedule and get paid daily/weekly.

Must hold a Virginia RN license with 2+ years PCU experience, and current BLS/ACLS; QuantiFERON-TB Gold within 12 months and COVID vaccination or approved exemption are required.

Qualifications

• As a PCU RN, you must hold an active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past year is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions in acute-care settings.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure safety.
• Educate patients and families about care and discharge plans.
