Job summary
First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts in Virginia. Enjoy the freedom to pick shifts—7a-7p or 7p-7a—and build a schedule that fits your life. Daily and weekly pay options are available, with hospital-based opportunities throughout Hampton Roads.
Active Virginia RN license with 2 years of PCU experience required, plus current BLS and ACLS. QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past year and vaccination or approved exemption are required.
Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN license
- 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
- AHA BLS Current
- AHA ACLS Current
- QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption may be required
Responsibilities
- Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
- Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
- Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
- Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
- Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
- Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
- Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
