Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking a PCU RN for per diem hospital shifts in the Hampton Roads area, VA. Per diem opportunities let you build a schedule that fits your life with day or night shifts and options for daily or weekly pay.

Active Virginia RN license and at least 2 years of recent PCU experience, plus BLS and ACLS, are required. QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within 12 months and COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption may be needed.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License is required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current BLS - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Current ACLS - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and other PCU equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Provide patient and family education.
