Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. You decide the shifts that fit your life, with options for daily or weekly pay and the ability to work as little as one shift per month.

Applicants must hold a Virginia RN license, have at least two years of recent PCU experience and current BLS and ACLS credentials. QuantiFERON-TB Gold testing within the past year and vaccination status are required, with additional facility-specific

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current BLS and ACLS credentials from AHA.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.

Active Virginia RN License

PCU nursing experience (2 years in 4y)

BLS Certification

ACLS Certification

QuantiFERON-TB Gold test
