Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Groton, CT is hiring a Patient Care Tech III to join the emergency department team. Under licensed clinician direction, you provide patient care, assist the healthcare team, and help with daily living activities and comfort.

The role requires HS diploma or GED, Basic Life Support, and experience in acute care or EMT. Strong English communication, computer skills, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support.
• Demonstrated competency in PCT II level or 1 year of acute care/hospital experience or 1 year of EMT Paramedic experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, timely communication to the RN regarding observations and changes in patients.
• Assist in daily living activities and support patient comfort.
• Support patient care with clinical procedures and telemetry/bedside care as directed.
• Maintain patient safety and assist with equipment and supplies.
