Zusammenfassung

UMass Memorial Health is hiring a Patient Care Tech III to support the Emergency Department and other high acuity areas. Under licensed clinician supervision, you will assist with patient care, monitoring, and essential procedures, ensuring safety and compassionate service.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and prior acute care or EMT experience. This full-time role includes a 40-hour schedule with potential signing bonus and benefits.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Demonstrated competency at PCT II level or 1 year of acute care/hospital experience or EMT Paramedic experience.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English clearly.
• Computer skills and strong interpersonal abilities are essential.
• Good problem-solving and calmness under pressure are required.

Aufgaben

• Provide clear, timely communication to the RN regarding patient observations and changes.
• Maintain constant observation for high-risk patients as assigned.
• Assist in daily living activities and patient mobility.
• Support safety procedures and use proper body mechanics.
• Take and record vital signs and basic measurements.
• Perform EKGs, POC tests, and specimen handling per hospital standards.
• Assist with treatments and setup equipment as directed.
• Replenish supplies and ensure unit readiness.
