Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing required (BSN preferred).
• Current registered nurse’s license in the State of Texas required.
• ACLS certification within six (3) months of hire.
• NIHSS certification within six (6) months of hire
• TNCC/TCAR within six (6) months of hire
• ENLS certification preferred for NSICU
• Job requires cross training to like areas
• Willingness to be trained for charge nurse
• Willingness to become a preceptor after two years of nursing experience
• Hospital experience preferred
• Proficiency in English –verbal and written and computer skills required

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient care using the nursing process.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes.
• Delivers medications and treatments safely per physician orders.
• Maintains detailed patient records and supports education for patients and families.
• Demonstrates adaptability to unit needs and shift changes.
• Ensures compliance with nursing practice standards and hospital policies.
