Job summary

SpaceX in Redmond seeks a Senior Supply Chain Engineer to own continuity of supply and drive supplier quality initiatives for Starlink components. You will collaborate with design, R&D, and manufacturing teams, audit suppliers, and establish technical requirements to support NP I and production stages.

Your role involves PPAP coordination, cost reduction, and proactive supplier development in a fast-paced aerospace environment with strong cross-functional interaction and strategic partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in one of: supply chain engineering, supplier development/quality, manufacturing, or design engineering.
• Experience with photonics or electronics manufacturing or related assembly processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own continuity of supply and improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics for photonic parts and optical subassemblies.
• Collaborate with design, R&D, and manufacturing to understand part design intent and metrology.
• Lead supplier qualification, audits, and onboarding; define supplier technical and quality requirements for NP I and production.
• Drive supplier improvement by root-cause analysis and cross-functional coordination.
• Define and monitor production part approval process (PPAP) with suppliers to enable rate production.
