Job summary

SpaceX in Redmond, WA, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Supplier Development to drive supplier performance and production flow for Starlink hardware. You will collaborate with design, materials, and manufacturing teams and manage supplier quality programs while focusing on cost, quality, and delivery improvements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering or STEM and 2+ years in related manufacturing or supply chain fields, with onsite work in Redmond, WA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or STEM discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain engineering, supplier development/quality, or design engineering (internship experience is applicable).

Responsibilities

• Improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity metrics for mechanical hardware used in the Starlink satellite systems.
• Collaborate with design, materials, and manufacturing engineers to understand part design intent.
• Support procurement to source parts matched with supplier competencies by reviewing supplier processes and quality systems.
• Define supplier technical and quality requirements for NPI and production phases.
• Lead resolution of supplier quality issues through root cause analysis.
• Define product technical requirements and ensure supplier compliance.
