Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Supplier Development Engineer, PCB (STARLINK), to drive supplier selection, development, qualification, and scaling for high-volume PCB production across bare PCBs, multilayer, and high-frequency RF boards. You will partner with Starlink engineering, quality and supply chain to mature suppliers rapidly.

The role requires hands-on expertise in PCB manufacturing, PPAP/APQP, IPC standards, and defect analysis, with travel up to 25% and the ability to influence cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, RF Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in PCB engineering, quality engineering, reliability engineering, or supplier development.
• Strong background in manufacturing processes, materials, quality systems, and high-volume electronics.
• Experience with PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, DFMEA, and First Article Inspection for PCBs.

Responsibilities

• Own supplier development activities for the PCB portfolio with focus on incoming supply chain quality and reliability.
• Build a resilient, high-quality supply base for high-volume production ramp.
• Assess supplier capabilities: capacity, process stability, equipment suitability, and readiness for PCB fabrication.
• Lead PPAP, FAI, rate ramps, and reliability campaigns for high-volume manufacturing.
• Create qualification protocols: dimensional, electrical, RF, thermal/mechanical reliability, and standards compliance.
• Standardize qualification protocols across the PCB supply base with FAT/SAT tests.
• Drive supplier performance via Lean, supplier scorecards, audits, and problem solving.
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for PCB defects and reliability issues.
• Collaborate with Design, Reliability, RF/Electrical, and Production teams to align processes with goals.
• Support continuous improvement of supplier quality systems and manufacturing processes for standard and RF PCBs.
