Job summary

PeerStar is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) to provide hope, understanding, and empowerment through shared experience. You will engage with individuals to support recovery and build meaningful friendships, using your own lived experiences to inspire resilience.

This role emphasizes empowerment, community-based support, and documentation on an iPad, with on-site duties across Pennsylvania, where we serve 35 counties. Active CPS certification is required to apply.

Qualifications

• Must have an active Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) certification through the Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB).
• Must be able to attest to having a mental health diagnosis and have reached a point in their recovery pathway where they can positively support others in similar situations.
• Eighteen (18) years of age and older.
• Must have maintained 6 months of consecutive employment or volunteer work experience; OR within the last three (3) years, have maintained at least 12 months of successful full or part-time paid or volunteer work experience.
• Ability to use iPad for documentation.
• Must have a driver's license and reliable transportation.
