Job summary

PeerStar is seeking a compassionate Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) to support individuals overcoming mental health challenges with lived experience. You will provide hope, understanding, and empowerment through peer support, building genuine connections that foster recovery.

This full-time or part-time role requires an active CPS certification from PCB, ability to document via iPad, a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Must have an active Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) certification through PCB.
• Must attest to having a mental health diagnosis and recovery journey.
• Eighteen years of age or older.
• Must have 6 months of consecutive employment or volunteer experience; OR within the last three years, have 12 months of full- or part-time paid or volunteer work experience.

Qualifications:

• Must have an active Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) certification through the Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB).
• Must be able to attest to having a mental health diagnosis and have reached a point in their recovery pathway where they can positively support others in similar situations
• Eighteen (18) years of age and older.
• Must have maintained 6 months of consecutive employment or volunteer work experience; OR within the last three (3) years, have maintained at least 12 months of successful full or part-time paid or volunteer work experience.
• Ability to use iPad for documentation.
• Must have a driver's license and reliable transportation.
